Today I’ve written a piece on the topic of sleep. I found out the hard way that Squirt “Ruby Red” has caffeine in it. Now I know I can wreck my sleep with caffeine too late in the day, so after discovering the citrus-based sabotage I had a ‘wonderful’ time pondering the nature of dreams.

I recall a piece by Zhuangzi, about how he dreams he is a butterfly and is so convinced, that upon awaking he cannot tell if he was the butterfly dreaming about being a man, or vice versa.

Dreams can certainly be a wild thing, whether an overactive subconscious, or if you’re lucky a lucid dream or two. Either way, if it is nothing other than ramblings of latent stimuli knocking around our subconscious, at least it can be sometimes entertaining.

*Not talking about Lawrence Fishburne from “The Matrix” but instead Morpheus the god of sleep, a.k.a. Robert Smith… I kid I kid, but basically ancient Rome “Sandman”.
